Nayra - 3d Ai Girlfriend

DEC-2024

"Virtual Companion" is an innovative personal project bridging the gap between human interaction and digital avatars. This web-based platform allows users to create and interact with personalized 3D virtual companions using advanced voice recognition, natural language processing, and real-time animation technologies. By integrating cutting-edge APIs for voice synthesis, 3D model handling, and automated lip-sync, users can engage in natural conversations with their digital avatars. The project leverages Blender for detailed 3D modeling and incorporates facial expression systems for realistic emotional responses. Whether for companionship, educational purposes, or entertainment, this platform demonstrates the potential of combining AI with immersive 3D technology to create meaningful human-AI interactions in a web environment.

Folio (This Website)

2024

This was a project I built for fun over one of my uni breaks, built in TypeScript and THREE.js, it contains a number of nifty features such as: a 3D retro computer that you can interact with, a very simple UNIX shell implementation, a files system implementation, markdown interpreter and renderer, and a text layout engine.

An early version of this page.

In 2021, I embarked on my journey as a web developer by creating a simple yet captivating project—a heart design built entirely with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. At the time, I was exploring the basics of web development, learning how to combine these foundational technologies to create interactive and visually appealing content. The idea for the project came about during a period of experimentation, driven by my desire to explore the potential of front-end web development in a creative and engaging way.

I wanted to challenge myself by going beyond static elements and incorporating animation and interactivity into my work. After some research and exploration, I decided to build a heart shape using pure HTML and CSS, leveraging flexbox and positioning for structure. To add depth and movement, I introduced JavaScript, creating a simple animation that brought the heart to life. This project, while simple in its scope, allowed me to learn and understand the intricacies of CSS transitions, animations, and basic DOM manipulation, which laid the groundwork for my future work.

The heart design became symbolic of my initial venture into web development—a small yet significant milestone in my learning journey. It was a time-pass project, initially conceived as a fun experiment, but it soon became a cornerstone of my early work, demonstrating my ability to apply core web technologies creatively. This first project not only helped me develop my technical skills but also gave me the confidence to tackle more complex challenges as I continued to grow in my web development career.
